Fostering positive parent-teacher relationships is essential to the well-being of our students. This course will empower participants to effectively integrate instructional technology into their classrooms. Participants will explore and proficiently utilize various instructional technology platforms demonstrating the ability to navigate these platforms and identify key features. Furthermore, participants will understand and clearly explain the importance of instructional technology in boosting student engagement, providing specific examples of how different platforms can motivate and engage students. Finally, participants will create materials, such as interactive lessons, assessments, or projects, for classroom use that effectively integrate a chosen instructional technology platform.

Explore the power of picture books as a tool for engaging learners of all ages! In this course, we’ll dive into the rich storytelling, vivid illustrations, and cross-curricular connections that make picture books an essential resource in any classroom. Discover creative strategies for using picture books to spark curiosity, deepen comprehension, and enhance learning across subjects. Whether you’re teaching young readers or older students, this course will help you bring stories to life in meaningful and impactful ways.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Conducting research is such a vital skill for young people to learn. Whether or not a student is college bound, it is an important critical thinking skill. Research is far more productive when students are actively engaged. This course will demonstrate how Inquiry-based learning can be a very effective modality for devising research projects, and also focus on how to embed research skills into everyday lessons to encourage learning the skill without the heavy lifting of a research project. Participants will learn the functionality of the modern research databases, as well as explore creative options for projects for students to showcase what they have learned, which embraces the option of student choice.
By the end of this course: teachers will be able to:

ANXIETY AWARENESS: EMPOWERING STUDENTS WITH HELP & HOPE

Mental health professionals are shining a light on the pervasiveness of anxiety, highlighting the need for increased awareness and attention to this issue. Young people are notably affected: anxiety affects 1 in 5 children, and 70% of teens say that anxiety is a major problem facing their age group. This course will give you the tools you need to support your students who have anxiety, including foundational knowledge about anxiety, its symptoms, and a look at Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Participants will complete the course with ready to implement strategies for teaching coping skills, ideas for accommodations, and considerations for tools and processes to support students who have anxiety.

You'll explore practical strategies, tools, and techniques to foster these essential skills in your students while discovering how Canva can simplify and enhance your teaching practice.
Starting with a basic introduction to Canva, you'll learn how to create eye-catching and interactive visual aids that make lessons more engaging and promote deeper learning. Through a mix of hands-on activities, discussions, and practical examples, you'll uncover ways to seamlessly integrate the 4Cs into your teaching and create a dynamic, student-centered learning environment.

This course is designed to be a meaningful interactive course that helps educators of any grade or subject explore and integrate technology into their teaching. Through collaborative discussions and hands-on tutorials, participants will share experiences, brainstorm ideas, and discover practical ways to use digital tools in the classroom. Each week, we’ll explore different technologies, discuss their benefits, and develop lesson ideas that enhance student learning. By the end of the course, educators will gain valuable strategies to engage students and make learning more interactive and effective.
This course will examine Jennifer Freedman’s “Technology: When to Use What: Utilizing District Approved Applications” guide.
Objectives:
Enhance teacher awareness of the many educational technological resources that are available.
Promote greater application and incorporation of educational technologies into the classroom.
Engage participants in meaningful dialog to inspire innovative uses of technology in the classroom.
Part 2: Promoting Student Collaboration
15 CTLE hours/1 inservice credit Grades K-12

This course is designed to be a meaningful interactive course that helps educators, of any grade or subject, explore and integrate technology into their teaching. Through collaborative discussions and hands-on tutorials, participants will share experiences, brainstorm ideas, and discover practical ways to use digital tools in the classroom. Each week, we’ll explore different technologies, discuss their benefits, and develop lesson ideas that enhance student learning. By the end of the course, educators will gain valuable strategies to engage students and make learning more interactive and effective. This course will examine Jennifer Freedman’s “Technology: When to Use What: Utilizing District Approved Applications” guide.

This course is designed to be a meaningful interactive course that helps educators, of any grade or subject, explore and integrate technology into their teaching. Through collaborative discussions and hands-on tutorials, participants will share experiences, brainstorm ideas, and discover practical ways to use digital tools in the classroom. Each week, we’ll explore different technologies, discuss their benefits, and develop lesson ideas that enhance student learning. By the end of the course, educators will gain valuable strategies to
engage students and make learning more interactive and effective. This course will examine Jennifer
Freedman’s “Technology When to Use What: Utilizing District Approved Applications” guide.
This course is part 3 of a 3-part series. Each part focuses on a different category of technology. Part 1
or 2 is not a mandatory prerequisite of Part 3, but it is recommended. Participants may choose to take all, one
or two of the courses in this series.

This workshop is for those teachers who are CURRENTLY mentors. We will review the content of the Foundations of Mentoring workshop as well as looking into additional areas and concerns that may impact the new mentee.
In this workshop the following topics will be explored:
Imposter Syndrome
Class Management vs Behavioral Management
Co-Teaching
Accountability and Responsibilities
This workshop will include Google Slide presentations, required and suggested readings, and short quizzes. This a self paced workshop and concludes with a personal debriefing with the instructor. Total hours 2.5 hours for modules and .5 hour for the debriefing.
